To commemorate Hiroshima the cast of the RSC’s Oppenheimer reunited for a reading.
On 29th September 2014 we started rehearsals for Tom Morton-Smiths new play about building the bomb.
On Monday 7th September 2020* the company reunited to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima. You can watch it on Thursday 15th October. The RSC website has some more details here.
It was an amazing experience to hear Tom’s play again, and to work with a very special company of actors and friends. Thank you Angus and Jamie for suggesting it.
The reading will be put out ‘as live’ on Thursday 15th October on the RSC YouTube channel.
*That’s 5 years and about 50 weeks in rehearsal. It’s good, but I don’t think it needed quite that long.
